New week of plans to be done by November 23rd

Well, that break took far longer than I had planned. None of my projects have been done over the last three weeks, only keeping up with things around the house. Sorry to have left my three readers hanging..... However, it is a brand new week and there is a brand new plan.

1. Finish the table for the prayer room
2. Practice the piano every day
3. Keep schoolwork going some how.... long story... but God has to do a miracle that I am excited to see.
4. Catch up a dirty house from the mess it has become since I was sick.

I'll "see" you on Saturday.

Finished Prayer Room & This Week's Plan

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back on... again.... It has been a busy week, since Mission's Conference was this week... Then I got sick, the WiFi got deleted off of my laptop..... Yeah. Crazy week.

Here's what has gotten me through:

And a lot of prayer and grace!!!
On top of everything for the prayer room, I had to make tamales for the international dinner for Mission Conference.... I don't know that I mentioned that...

Did NOT realize how many tomatillos I would need.... and I ended up using only 4 jalapenos....

Loads of work go into the tamales, and just the right combo of ingredients!!

But my Joe Bobs make any job easier!!!

Pure yummieness!!!!!!

But those aren't the pictures you went out of your way to see.  So here goes:

God gave me an awesome deal on these lampshades from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore:

But they needed to look like they belonged together, so I added material to both of them to make them look matching:

And 50 glue sticks later:

And the curtains got a good dent in them...

But my machine had little boys mess with it, so it was doing this to my curtains:

Therefore, the second curtain still needs to be finished, and both need the threads fixed on them.
The table also needs to be finished. I laid it out like this:

And then, I thought about cutting it like this:

But I think I'm going to go back to a simple design instead. That still needs to be done.

I did finish the closet, though. After I had everything else done, it looked really bad:

Like it was definitely unfinished. So I painted:

And Painted:

So much better!!!
Lastly, I finished the "Seek" wall.

And Prince Charming hung the lamp fixture...

Which is BEAUTIFUL!!!

So, here's the pictures you've been waiting for:

And that's as close to panoramic as I can get. I am taking the remainder of this week off...my only goals are to clean my house and go grocery shopping. I'll start working on the curtains and making the table next week as the goals. I'll be back next week with goals for the new week and the next project. :)

Thanks for following... it is my encouragement to keep going.

Weekly Goals through October 19th

SO, there is a TON to do this week. We are going to arrange it by days rather than by things to do:

Monday:
1) Complete the curtains
2) Take apart the beautiful pallet I got
3) Figure out how the lamp shades will be decorated to pull them together and make them worth looking at

Tuesday:
1) Cut and assemble the pallet table
2) Assemble the lamp shades
3) Sand the pallet table

Wednesday:
1) Convince hubby to go to church early so we can
2)  Install the lamp shades
3) Paint the table?
4) Install the Curtain rod and curtains
5) Hang the windows and the mirror

Thursday-Saturday:
1) Finish up whatever still needs to be done so I can take it up on Sunday and be done.... I may have to go up one of these days to paint the closet and do any touch-ups.
2) Relax and get ready for Missions Conference next week.

Sounds simple enough, but it's gonna be BUSY!!

See you next week... Have to get an early start, that's why I put it up today rather than tomorrow. Thanks, as always, for being my kick in the seat of the pants.

The (Almost) Finished Prayer Room

So, we are almost done with the prayer room....

The carpet went in on Friday:

And all my worry about it looking okay was for nothing.

Because it looks PERFECT!!!

*Sigh of Relief*
So, Saturday, I went to put it together, and here's where we're at, so far:

Makes me smile to see it!!

And the crowning achievement:

This is my favorite part.... I love the way it turned out.

It's cool to know that my imagination really did bring this all to life.  That's not to say there's not a ton to get done for it to be completed, but we are definitely a lot closer!!! I did have a bad week this week, not using my Brain, and reading books more than staying busy. SO, we are starting over again.... This week will be full of loads of things that have to be done.... most of them by Wednesday.... Going to be busy!!!!!

Weekly Goals to be finished by October 12th

Okay, so I only have three days, but they should be packed.

1) Finish up homeschool for the week early so we can

2) Go apple picking tomorrow, and

3) Set up the Prayer Room on Saturday, because

4) The baseboards went in today, and the carpet goes in tomorrow

5) Also, I need to get the curtains finished today and

6) Get Mt. Washmore folded and put away

Pictures this next Sunday should include some pretty neat ones, as the room is very close to completion!!!!!!

Short, sweet, and to the point.

Although I do have to end with a praise. If only I read it, so only I remember it... This last week, I had only $125 with which to buy groceries for two weeks, and VERY empty cupboards. Now, I've done this before, but now I was trying to do THM, and I needed a LOT more healthy things than I used to get..... I knew I had promised the Lord an offering, and I didn't know how I was going to fit the amount I had promised the Lord into the money I had, knowing it would take away from my grocery budget.  I went ahead, and set aside the amount I had promised, and... being discouraged, went shopping.  Wouldn't you know, God fit my entire grocery budget in with only a $.03 difference over (which I had, but hadn't calculated in the grocery "budget"), AND He made sure I got plenty of meats AND vegetables too!!!!! Not only that, but as I was putting away my groceries, I went to fill my wheat flour (which I KNOW was empty), and it was already full!! Then, Monday morning, right after I gave the offering, God sent us a $100 gift card in the mail!!!! Once again, I feel foolish for doubting my Saviour!! He is so very good to me!!

Have a wonderful week, y'all.

Better Late than Never??? I guess??

Sorry. So much for having this ready on Sunday. I really wanted to, though. Good news is, we are so close to done, I can taste it!!!

SO, here are the pictures. I know that's why you keep coming back. :)

The dresser is finally done, and the knobs are attached,

and it looks beautiful next to the blue wall... It POPS!!!!

The mirror is also completed and will look AMAZING when I hang it above the dresser soon....

The boys and I were able to go down to church last Monday and work on the paint job... both the ceiling and the walls! Here's Jim Joe Bob:

And here's Fred and Billy Joe Bob:

They really are a HUGE help to me!!!

For those of you who wonder how I get the statements up on the wall, this little thing is amazing.... Pile up things as high as it is needed, and use it to blow the images you want up onto the wall....

Like this:

Neither magician nor artist am I, but I do have cool toys!!!

On Sunday afternoon, we had to stay up at church, so my wonderful Prince Charming helped me do the door frames and window sill....

Just why, in every fairy tale, does Prince Charming make an appearance? I once told mine that he better not have 15 Disney princesses waiting on him somewhere!!!

The frames all turned out wonderfully, though! (Crazy Hubby!!.... He makes me smile!)

And the window sill looks better too!!

I finally completed "Knock". This makes me very happy!! The N in Knock looks a whole lot better in person, and I bulked it up some.... It doesn't show very well, though.

I also got "Seek" traced up:

But I don't know if you can see it extremely well, so here it is with a first coat that I was able to do on Sunday afternoon:

The chairs are finished with the seats screwed onto them, and all the scuffing finished:

And they're going to look perfect in the spot where they belong!

The good thing about being late in posting is that you get to see the baseboards that went in this morning, thanks to my hubby and the oldest Joe Bob.

You'll never guess where he gets his hamming it up from!!! (Look back up in the post if there are any questions). :)

I think that is all for this last week, so I'll post my goals for what remains of this week... Thanks for reading!!
